Saving Armpit by Natalie Hyde

Will the beleaguered Terriers baseball team ever win a game? How can they win without a real coach? Baseball fans will love the fast-paced action as the Terriers use teamwork and imagination to help their town's baseball team survive.

  1. For anyone who thinks this book will be gross or weird, you are wrong. This book is about taking action to make things better, and it is about a baseball team's struggle to get from the bottom of the league to the top. Baseball fans would like this.

  2. I really liked Saving Arm Pit because it shows how when you work together as a team for something important, you can do anything. The Terriers loved their new coach and he was helping them win after their losing streak. They needed to save Coach Blackmore’s job so he could stay in Harmony Point as the new postmaster. They came up with an idea they thought would help. I think this is a book everyone will enjoy!

  3. I didn’t like this book called Saving Armpit by Natalie Hyde. This was about some lame baseball. The author exaggerated how this was an underdog story. Yeah, it’s an underdog story so you all know how that ends. It was about baseball and it didn’t make too much sense. I mean, it was all these baseball terms that aren’t real! Like ,“Now he has to walk! It was slider! It was a dug-rollout! It was a ball!” Of course it’s a ball! What do you think it is, a puck? From a chart from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, I’d rate like a 2 and a half. I never could tell which characters were which. I couldn’t even tell who the characters were. It’s was like, “He has the ball-no he has has the ball no SHE has the ball! Now #8 has gotten to third and so has #8#2! I DON’T GET IT! Do not read this terrible, horrible, terrible, no-good book.

  4. I read Saving Armpit by Natalie Hyde. It was about a baseball team with a bad coach that is not so good. They are miserable and can’t even win a game. The coach retires and the team thinks they are utterly hopeless. After that, a good coach comes and the team finds hope. They get a lot better and play in the finals and get 3rd place, their best ever. I really liked this baseball-based book because of its very creative plot. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes sports.

  5. In Saving Arm Pit the Terriers could not win a single game. Another problem was that their coach quit in the middle of the season. I liked the character Clay because he tried his best when they were losing. I think this book is great because if you love baseball you would love this book. I think you should read this book.

  6. Saving Arm Pit is by Natalie Hyde and it is about a baseball team that is not good until Coach Blackmore comes to coach them. When he comes the team gets much better and they come in third place in the standings. There is one problem with his regular job. Will the team come together to help their coach? Read to find out.

  7. I read Saving Arm Pit. I liked this book. One of their goals is to win a game. I think people who like baseball will like this book. It reminds me of the Bad News Bears. In the Bad News Bears the team stinks. Then at the end they start winning. The same thing happens with the Terriers. I think people will like this book.

  8. I read Saving Armpit by Natalie Hyde. The book was about four
kids who try to make it to the finals. I would offer this book to kids who like baseball or play baseball. I play baseball and I really liked the book. Now I’m assuming that other kids out there are going to like the book.
